MAGIC ON
RADIO

On Thursday morning, January 5, 2006, Tim Ellis appeared on
the 3AW Breakfast Show with Darren James and Tony Leonard.
During the chat he was asked to perform some magic on radio.
His first experiment was to ask Darren James o draw two
simple geometric shapes, one inside the other. Darren drew a
circle and a triangle, which matched Tim's prediction
perfectly. Tim asked the listeners to try the same
experiment then go to
www.MagicUnlimited.com
and see how they went. By 9am Tim had received dozens of
emails and, except for one or two odd exceptions, they all
thought of a circle and a triangle.
Tim then had
Darren choose a card, to make it 100% fair, he had a
listener tell Darren when to stop as he moved his finger
over the pack. Darren had chosen the Jack of Spades. Tim
asked Darren and the listeners to turn to page 70 of the
Herald-Sun and look in the Public Announcements column where
Tim had placed an advertisement stating not only what card
Darren would choose, but what time he would choose it as
well.
After a
little more chat about
The Magic Castle,
Tammii Twister's Magic Factory, and how he got
started in magic, Tim taught the listeners a simple 'betcha'
they could try on their friends. Judging from the emails
received a Magic Unlimited, the segment was very popular and
Tim looks forward to doing more magic on radio very soon.
Thanks Darren and Tony!
