MAGIC MAGAZINES

'THE MAGIC CIRCULAR'. The club magazine of The Magic Circle of Victoria, Tim was a regular columnist in 1981 and became editor in 1992.

 

'AUSTRALIAN MAGIC MONTHLY'. For 101 issues, Tim edited Australia's only National Magic Magazine (1989-1998). From it's pages we present, for your enjoyment:

'THE MAGIC'. In 1992 this Japanese magazine ran a feature on Tim Ellis and magic in Australia.

 

'GENII MAGAZINE'. As well as contributing several tricks and co-ordinating an all-Australian issue, Tim wrote his popular column 'Dateline Downunder' for  'Genii Magazine' from 1993-1994.

 

'ALADIN & INNOVATOR'. In April 1997 Tim was featured on the cover of this Austrian magazine. He contributed 'Cellular Thinking' and co-ordinated contributions from other Australian magicians.

'REVUE DE LA PRESTIDIGITATION'. In July 1998 Tim was featured in this French magazine, and explained his effect 'Cellular Thinking'.

 

'AMM2000'. In the year 2000, Sue-Anne and Tim co-edited one more year's worth of monthly Australian Magic magazines and called it 'AMM2000' . Here's a selection of their favourite articles:

'MAGIC MAGAZINE'. Tim has been a contributor to Stan Allen's MAGIC magazine from it's inception. The December 1992 issue feature a great three page story on MagicSports by Tom Fitt. The March 1996 had a two page feature by Tim Ellis on the show 'Stars of Illusion'.

In February 2007 Tim & Sue-Anne were profiled when MAGIC interviewed several famous magical couples about how they met for a special Valentine's Day feature.

In September 2007 MAGIC featured a six-page interview with Tim & Sue-Anne.

           IN THEIR WORDS

 

'M-U-M'. In June 2001 Tim & Sue-Anne contributed a feature on Black Art Magic based on Sue-Anne's highly successful 'Haunted Mansion' act.

 

'MagicSeen'. In the November 2005 issue of this glossy UK magic magazine, Tim Ellis and Sue-Anne Webster were profiled by Sean Taylor as part of a 'Magic of Australia' feature and one of Tim's early tricks ('Wifeswapping' from his first lecture in 1991 - 'The Secret Diary of Tim Ellis') was included.

 

'PEGASUS'. In the November 2007 issue of this glossy Scandanavian magic magazine, Tim Ellis and Sue-Anne Webster contributed to a 4 page article about MagicSports.

 

 

BOOKS

 

'THE TWO OF US'. (2000) A compilation of stories about couples from 'The Age Good Weekend Magazine'. Tim & Sue-Anne's story is featured.

 

'RADIO WITH PICTURES'. (2006) A history of Australian television. Sue-Anne is pictured and mentioned for her role as Assistant Director with the ABCTV series 'BeatBox'.

 

'Dictionnaire de la Prestidigitation' by Jean de Merry & André Ciocca. (2006) Both Tim and Sue-Anne have listings in this dictionary of the history of magic. They are the only living Australian magicians to be included.

 

'DECEPTION DOWNUNDER' A look at Magic in Australia by Brian McCullagh. (2007) Both Tim and Sue-Anne are profiled in this Australian history of magic.

 

'HISTORIAS DE MAGAS ANTIGUAS Y MODERNAS'. (2007) Sue-Anne is included in this book profiling the most important female magicians in history.

 

 

PUBLIC MAGAZINES

 'K-ZONE'. Tim contributed some beginner's magic for kids to learn in the December 1989 issue of this popular magazine.

 

 

'WORLD VISION NEWS':Sue-Anne travelled to Africa to visit her sponsor child in 1996. 'Dreams Can Come True' is her account of this amazing journey.

'THE SECRET DIARY OF TIM ELLIS'. Tim's first set of lecture notes, written especially for his 1992 appearance at the SAM Convention in Salt Lake City, USA.

 

'HAVE YOU EVER THOUGHT ABOUT SCHOOL TOURS' (2000) is Sue-Anne's first lecture booklet and it covers all aspects of performing in schools.

 

'RUNAROUND SUE' (2001) is a highly detailed booklet teaching Tim's FISM award-winning cups and ball act.
